Mondays | Ages 8-14
CLASSES ARE FULL
We are offering an Lead Class Ensemble option in addition to the Lead Class.
Students will partake in weekly rehearsals, and be a part of the lead production class. These performers will not have dialogue but will participate in singing and dancing in lead production activities on stage and in the classroom.
LBMP's Fall 2025 session consists of 11 weeks of classroom rehearsals, and an additional 2 weeks of rehearsals onstage, and one weekend of performances. Classes take place once a week after school. In these weekly classes, students will learn proper stage etiquette, gain confidence, sing, act, and dance while working toward a final performance. At the end of the classes, all students perform in a full length production complete with costumes and sets.
This Fall Lead Class is for students ages 8-14. At this age, all students have individual speaking roles in the final performance. They also focus on singing and dancing, and they perform in group numbers throughout the final production.
Weekly classes/rehearsals take place on Mondays 3:30-5:30 (until 6:30pm when blocking is called) at St. Finn Barr School. These classroom rehearsals will take place on the following dates:
9/22, 9/29 (Auditions), 10/6, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15
These classes all begin at 3:30 and run until at least 5:30pm. Beginning in the third week of class, Linda will request specific students to stay one extra hour for blocking rehearsals. In blocking rehearsals, Linda works on staging individual scenes with the students, so the characters who are required to stay will vary each week. An email will be sent out to confirm which students are needed. 6:30pm will be the end time if called for blocking rehearsals.
In January, students will transition out of the classroom and into rehearsing onstage at the theater. These theater rehearsals will most likely take place on the following dates/times:

A note for families with children in a Tuesday class:
This Monday class (ages 8-14) performs alongside the Tuesday 4pm class (ages 6-8).
A note about COVID-19:
As we’ve learned over the last year and a half, we must be flexible while living during this pandemic. There is a possibility that federal, state, and/or local COVID-safety restrictions will be enacted that will affect LBMP’s plans for this Fall session. If any such restrictions are put into place, LBMP will follow all safety guidelines. If we are forced to stop meeting for in-person classes/rehearsals, classes will continue to be offered remotely via Zoom. If we are unable to have a live audience in the theater for our final production, we will create a video recording of the performance and share that video with families. There are other scenarios which we may need to deal with that we can’t yet predict. Please note that no refunds will be issued after the first day of class. Even if restrictions are put in place and we must switch from in-person to remote learning, classes will continue online and no refunds will be issued.
Tuition:
Lead Class: $855
Lead Class Ensemble: $695.

Additional requirements:
All children are required to have black jazz shoes, which they will wear during every class/rehearsal. Children will also be asked to provide shorts and a light-colored tank top to wear underneath costumes beginning with the dress rehearsal. (Some students may be asked to provide black character shoes and/or tights depending on what role they are cast in.)
Every family is required to commit to five hours of volunteer time, or pay a buyout of $100 per family. Volunteer sign-up or buyout MUST be completed by a date TBD. To pay buyout online, select "Purchase Volunteer Buyout or Playbill Ads" under the “Make A Payment” tab. Buyout can also be paid by personal check directly to LBMP.
Every student is required to sell or purchase a minimum of 10 performance tickets. If a family has more than one student enrolled, then they are required to sell or purchase a minimum of 15 tickets. These tickets can be for any of the three shows that your child is in or for any of the other three shows being put on by the other casts.
